To keep receiving the benefit regularly, farmers must complete a few requirements. These include completing e-KYC, having the bank account linked to Aadhaar, keeping land records updated and fulfilling the required farmer ID number formalities.
The money is credited to the accounts of eligible farmers through direct benefit transfer (DBT). Errors in documents or incomplete e-KYC can therefore cause problems in receiving the benefit.
The revenue, agriculture and rural development departments are working in coordination to implement the scheme. Eligible farmers are therefore being urged to keep their documents and bank account details updated.
