Pune Times Mirror held "Wellness Heroes Season 02" on 22 October. The event drew attention to people working for public health, personal wellbeing, healthcare and the welfare of the community.

Organised together with Civic Mirror, the event recognised people and institutions contributing to health and wellbeing. Its theme was "Wellness for a Changing World". This was not limited to physical fitness, and also covered peace of mind, emotional health, a sense of purpose in life and meaningful relationships.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Meghna Bordikar said it was essential to put public health at the top of society's priorities. "Health is wealth, and every country must put the wellbeing of its people first," she said. She also praised those working for the welfare of society.

The event stressed that wellness does not mean merely avoiding illness. What matters is maintaining a balance between physical health and peace of mind, and between work responsibilities and personal happiness. It was also said that making time for self-care while celebrating life is equally important.

Pankaj Sharma, chairman and managing director of Pune Times Mirror and Civic Mirror and president of the Lexicon Group, urged people to make time for their health amid daily responsibilities. "God has given us 24 hours in a day, so take some time for yourself too," he said. He asked people to make their wellbeing the first priority, take care of their bodies and invest in their health every day. In his view, good health is one of life's greatest assets.

Neeraj Sharma, vice chairman of Pune Times Mirror, Civic Mirror and the Lexicon Group, spoke about the relationship between physical fitness and inner health. "Wellness means being healthy and active both inside and out," he said. He added that fitness alone does not determine a person's overall health. Looking after inner health, he said, is as important as keeping the body fit.

The event had five focus areas: mind, body, emotion, purpose and connection. Together they represent different aspects of a balanced and fulfilling life.

Bringing these together, "Wellness Heroes Season 02" aimed to give recognition to those who are reshaping the idea of wellbeing and inspiring meaningful change in their communities and institutions.

With the message "Feel well. Live fully.", the event stressed the importance of making health and self-care part of everyday life. It also pointed to the role of people and institutions in promoting a broader view of wellness, in which physical health, emotional balance and personal fulfilment are treated as linked priorities.
