Food and Agri Expo with over 90 stalls to be held in Pune's Karvenagar on October 31 and November 1

Pune, October 24, 2026: The Food and Agri Expo (Food Mahotsav) 2026 will be held on October 31 and November 1 at Golden Leaf Banquets on DP Road in Karvenagar, Pune. Food manufacturers, entrepreneurs, traders, dealers and exporters will gather in one place to showcase their products and explore new business opportunities.

The expo is being organised by Maitri Excellence. More than 90 stalls will be set up, with ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook items, dehydrated foods, premixes, organic products, frozen foods, spices, products made from millets and beverages on display.

The organisers say the aim of the event is to give food-sector startups and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) a platform. They will be able to show new products, meet prospective buyers and expand their markets. Members of the public will also get a chance to speak directly to the makers, see new brands and learn more about everyday products.

In the food business, interest has grown in millet-based foods, dehydrated products, dietary supplements, natural ingredients and products made with health and nutrition in mind. This has given entrepreneurs opportunities to develop new products and to reach the B2B as well as the D2C market.

Maitri Excellence has been helping food-sector entrepreneurs for the past three years. According to the organisers, the initiative has helped more than 100 startups and more than 1,000 food entrepreneurs. The help was given through platforms that improve product recognition, business networking and market access.

The expo will have product showcases to support businesses in the food and agriculture sector, and will also give industry people a chance to meet and network.

The organisers also want to hold a mega buyer-seller meet for the food industry on November 1, provided enough registrations are received. Manufacturers, startups, traders, distributors and prospective buyers would come together at the meet to explore business opportunities and form commercial partnerships.

Meenal Rajkarne, founder of Maitri Excellence, is a chemical engineer, entrepreneur and consultant, with more than 15 years of experience in the food industry. Through this initiative, she wants to help MSMEs and emerging businesses in the food and agriculture sector.

The organisers said the expo will bring makers and consumers closer to each other. Visitors will be able to see a wide variety of products, understand brands and make informed decisions about what they eat.

The event is meant for people who want to discover new food products, and also for entrepreneurs and industry representatives looking at business opportunities in the food and agriculture sector.
