Central Railway will run special superfast trains from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Pune's Hadapsar to Nagpur, citing rising passenger crowds and heavy demand for reserved seats.

Central Railway has decided to run two superfast special trains to Nagpur, citing growing passenger crowds and demand for reservations on regular trains. The services will run from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) to Nagpur and from Pune's Hadapsar to Nagpur, giving travellers from Mumbai, Pune, North Maharashtra and Vidarbha another option in November.

Many passengers travel from Mumbai to Nagpur, and reservations are hard to get during festival days. Central Railway has therefore planned special superfast trains between LTT and Nagpur. Numbered 01089 and 01090, they will make four trips in each direction.

Train No. 01089 will leave LTT every Thursday and Sunday at 9.45 pm and reach Nagpur at 12.10 pm the next day. Train No. 01090 will leave Nagpur every Friday and Monday at 4.10 pm and reach LTT at 5.50 am the next day. The LTT-Nagpur service is scheduled between November 5 and 15, and the Nagpur-LTT service between November 6 and 16.

The train will stop at several important stations, including Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Manmad, Pachora, Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Dhamangaon and Wardha. This could give passengers in North Maharashtra, including Nashik, Jalgaon and Bhusawal, an extra train to Nagpur.

For Pune passengers, a second special superfast train will run between Hadapsar and Nagpur. Numbered 01443 and 01444, it is a weekly service with two trips in each direction.

Train No. 01443 will leave Hadapsar on Saturday at 4.05 pm and reach Nagpur at 6.30 am the next day. Train No. 01444 will leave Nagpur on Sunday at 7.40 pm and reach Hadapsar at 11.05 am the next day. The Hadapsar-Nagpur trains will run on November 7 and 14, and the return trains from Nagpur to Hadapsar on November 8 and 15.

The train will stop at Uruli, Daund Chord Cabin, Ahilyanagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Ankai, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Badnera, Dhamangaon and Wardha. This should offer more convenient travel between Pune and Vidarbha, especially for passengers from Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Akola and Wardha.

The decision will bring some relief for now, but the demand for more regular rail services on the Mumbai-Nagpur and Pune-Nagpur routes remains. With passenger numbers rising, extra trains, more coaches and a regular timetable are said to be needed.

Passengers are advised to check the official railway timetable, seat availability and stop details before planning their journey. Timings of special trains may change, so final information should be confirmed through official railway channels.
