Central Railway will run additional Train on Demand specials on two routes to handle the festival rush, and has extended the runs of some existing special trains.
Diwali begins next week, and Chhath follows. Given the growing crowds at stations, Central Railway has decided to run additional Train on Demand (TOD) special trains. The period of operation of some existing special trains has also been extended.
The first new service is the Hadapsar-Nagpur-Hadapsar bi-weekly superfast special, numbered 01443 and 01444, with 4 trips in all. Train No. 01443 will leave Hadapsar at 16:05 on Saturdays, November 7 and 14, 2026 (2 trips), and reach Nagpur at 06:30 the next day.
On the return, Train No. 01444 will leave Nagpur at 19:40 on Sundays, November 8 and 15, 2026 (2 trips), and reach Hadapsar at 11:05 the next day.
The train will have 20 LHB coaches: 2 AC 2-Tier, 4 AC 3-Tier, 8 sleeper, 4 general second class, 1 generator car and 1 SLRD coach. It will stop at Uruli, Daund Chord Line, Ahilyanagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Ankai (technical halt), Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Badnera, Dhamangaon and Wardha. Train No. 01444 will also have a technical halt at Murtijapur.

No. 01429 will leave Latur at 09:30 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays between November 2 and 6, 2026 (4 trips) and reach Hadapsar at 15:30 the same day. No. 01430 will leave Hadapsar at 16:05 on the same days and reach Latur at 21:20 the same night. It too will make 4 trips.
This train will have 24 ICF coaches: 1 First AC, 3 AC 2-Tier, 5 AC 3-Tier, 9 sleeper, 4 general second class and 2 SLRD coaches. Its stops are Harangul, Murud, Dharashiv, Barshi Town, Kurduwadi, Jeur and Daund.
Booking for these new specials and the extended trips will open on November 1, 2026, at special fares. It can be done at all computerised Passenger Reservation System (PRS) ticket counters and on the IRCTC website, www.irctc.co.in.
Coaches designated as unreserved, that is general second class (GS/LWS) and guard/luggage coaches (SLRD/LSLRD), can be used for travel without reservation. Tickets for them will be available through the UTS system, via the UTS app or at a ticket counter, at the regular fares applicable to superfast, mail and express trains.
Passengers have been asked to check the exact arrival and departure times at all halts before starting their journey, on the Indian Railways enquiry website, www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in, or on the official NTES app.
