Rajendra Pawar said the family will not celebrate Diwali this year after Ajit Pawar's death, as Rohit Pawar tours drought-hit Marathwada.

The Pawar family will not celebrate Diwali this year because of the death of Ajit Pawar, and the family will therefore not gather together either. Rohit Pawar is touring Marathwada because of the drought. Meanwhile, his father Rajendra Pawar wrote a special post for Ajit Dada, reviving old memories.

In a social media post, Rajendra Pawar said Diwali feels empty for the first time after Ajit's passing. He recalled old memories of Ajit Pawar and Baramati.

Rajendra Pawar said, "This year, because of the death of Ajit Dada, the Pawar family will not celebrate Diwali. Whatever had to be said has been said in the post." He said that three years ago Rohit Pawar had toured the whole of Vidarbha and Marathwada. There was no drought then, yet the entire family celebrated that Diwali with tribal communities. Now a severe drought has struck. He said words alone will not wipe people's tears or end the drought, but it is necessary to support those people. He said he has countless memories with Ajit Dada. When Diwali comes, different memories stir, some about studies and some about politics.

According to him, his grandmother had a rule. Two of his uncles lived in Pune for business, while Ajit Dada's father lived here. Even so, in joy or in grief, at any festival or function, it was the grandmother's rule that everyone come together. That is why the family gathered at Diwali.

On talk of a merger, Rajendra Pawar said the discussions began a few days ago, when Pawar Saheb was ill and in hospital. He said Rohit Pawar is travelling in Vidarbha and Marathwada and he himself is in Baramati, so he does not know what discussions are going on. He said that even if they are, the leaders who head the party will take the decision.

On Rohit Pawar's drought tour, Rajendra Pawar said he is doing good work and the path he has chosen to work for the people is right. Understanding people's difficulties and trying to resolve their problems is his job. He added that if Rohit understands what difficulties come with being in power tomorrow, he will certainly arrange to resolve their problems.
