Baramati/Someshwarnagar: Yugendra Pawar, a young leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar), has appealed to the members of the Someshwar factory. He said that if they want to carry forward the ideas of the late Ajitdada, they should hand the factory over to him. The election to the Someshwar sugar factory is heating up. The campaign of the Shri Someshwar Shetkari Vikas Panel was launched with a coconut-breaking ceremony at the Someshwar temple in Karanje, where Pawar was speaking.

Pawar said the Bharatiya Janata Party is trying to enter Baramati taluka through the Someshwar factory. According to him, the factory's members are very wise and will decide with their future in mind.

He said the factory is a question of livelihood for members' families. So that it suffers no setback, Sharad Pawar will pay attention to the factory and support the board of directors. In Yugendra Pawar's words, after Ajitdada there is no option for the Someshwar factory other than Sharad Pawar. He said Sharad Pawar consistently looks after the interests of farmers and has vast experience in the cooperative sector. He therefore appealed to members to elect a board of directors that follows Sharad Pawar's ideas.

Pawar also said he has a good deal of knowledge of the factory. He said that if the panel is elected, he will himself sit one day a week in the Someshwar factory office and review its work, taking guidance from Sharad Pawar for this.

He said mud would be slung and barbs traded in the coming days, but he would not get drawn into it, because the interest of the members matters most to him. According to Pawar, his emphasis is on positive campaigning rather than personal criticism.

At the event, Pawar introduced all the candidates of his panel and released the panel's manifesto. Former Zilla Parishad president Satish Khomane, senior labour leader Tukaram Jagtap, former Zilla Parishad works committee chairman Dattaaba Chavan, former Baramati Panchayat Samiti chairman Popat Pansare and Sharadchandra Pawar faction taluka president Rajendra Jagtap were present. A large number of members also attended.

Speaking on the election symbols, Pawar said the whistle is a danger signal. According to him, a blowing whistle means the BJP is trying to barge into the taluka. He then quipped that if tea is to be poured into a cup and saucer, the cup and saucer will certainly need the kettle.

At a press conference, he was asked whether the kettle and the cup and saucer would come together in future. He replied in hints that it is for the kettle to decide.
