Vivo usually launches two generations of its S-series in China every year. The company brought out the Vivo S60 series in May this year. It is now preparing the S70 lineup, and some details about the upcoming series have surfaced.

Tipster Smart Pikachu has shared details and launch timing for the upcoming Vivo smartphone series. According to the tipster, several mid-range smartphones are due to launch next month, and the Vivo S70 will be one of them.

The tipster says the phone could launch in China in November. The tipster claimed it will get a periscope camera with a large sensor, which could support a telephoto converter. The Honor 700 series and the Oppo Reno 17 lineup are also likely to launch in China in November.

The company is said to be giving the S70 a larger telephoto sensor than the 50-megapixel periscope lens on the S60, and it may be convertible. This would give mid-range users flagship-like extra zoom support with an attachable telephoto converter lens. The company currently offers this attachable camera lens with its premium X-series.

The S60 has a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2750 x 1260 pixels, a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 5,000 nits. It has a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip and supports up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The phone runs OriginOS 6, based on Android 16.

On the camera front, the S60 has a 50-megapixel primary camera, along with a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. The front camera is 50-megapixel. The battery is 7200mAh with 90W fast charging.
