Vidyut Jammwal holds breath for 15 minutes at Street Fighter event in Mumbai
Actor Vidyut Jammwal tried to hold his breath for about 15 minutes at a Street Fighter event, and a video of the yoga act is going viral.
Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal is known for his formidable fitness, martial arts skills and unusual yoga practice. He is always active on social media and regularly shares videos of his difficult exercises and yoga postures with fans. One such video of his is currently being widely discussed online.
Jammwal attended a special event for Street Fighter in Mumbai, where he did something that left those present stunned for a few moments. At the event, he tried to hold his breath for about 15 minutes.
During the event, Jammwal sat perfectly still and demonstrated his yoga practice. As time passed, however, his body began to tremble and his eyes filled with tears.
Seeing him in this state, the audience grew worried. He nevertheless completed the practice. His video is going viral on social media, and netizens are praising his ability.
In Street Fighter, Jammwal plays a gaming character named Dhalsim. The character is shown as linked to yoga and spiritual practice. It is therefore being said that Jammwal gave this special demonstration to show the connection between the traits of his film character and his own yoga practice.
After completing the meditation, Jammwal spoke about his practice. He said he used a particular technique from Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. According to him, the practice helped him reach several important milestones in life.
According to Jammwal, yoga is not just a way of keeping the body fit but also makes a person mentally stronger. He said self-control and the ability to stay calm are essential for moving ahead in life.
On the occasion, Jammwal also had a message for young people. He said everyone today is racing to achieve something and all eyes are constantly on results. But, he said, it is just as important to pause and stay calm for a few moments amid the rush.
He advised young people to practise staying still for a while by stopping themselves. The video of his unusual yoga demonstration is currently the talk of social media.
