An audio clip released by Maratha agitator Manoj Jarange Patil has caused a stir in the state. The clip says Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde took Rs 500 crore from the BJP to give to Jarange Patil. Serious questions are now being raised in political circles, and reactions, allegations and counter-allegations have begun from different parties.

Leaders of the Shiv Sena Shinde faction met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis last night and demanded a thorough investigation into the whole matter. Meanwhile, Shinde faction leader Abdul Sattar has also expressed serious doubts about it.

Speaking to the media, Sattar said there could be a political conspiracy behind the alleged clip. According to him, Eknath Shinde could become chief minister again in future, so it should be examined whether all this is being done to tarnish his image. Sattar said the matter should be investigated.

Sattar also did not rule out that the clip may have been created with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). He therefore demanded a high-level inquiry, saying it must be established whom the clip came from, who provided it and what the motive behind it was.

Sattar also spoke about the Marathwada graduates' constituency election. He said voters showed little enthusiasm in the first two hours of polling. He estimated that the contest is evenly matched this time and that voters' verdict could also turn out differently.

Sattar made it clear that his stand against the Mahayuti remains. He said he does not support Satish Chavan and has begun campaigning for Pratapsingh Patil. He also said that repeatedly changing stands erodes the credibility of a party and a leader.
