Rehan Vadra, son of Priyanka Gandhi and nephew of Rahul Gandhi, is in the news over an Instagram post in which he questioned the Bikaner House administration.
In the post, Vadra said he was forcibly asked to remove his photographs from an exhibition. It is said that he had photographed the recent agitation on the streets of Delhi and wanted to show the pictures in the exhibition. The administration then objected to his photographs.
The administration has given its explanation. It says that some of the photographs Vadra displayed under "No Idea Is Final" were found not to be in line with its policy, and he was therefore requested to remove them. The remaining photographs are still on display in the exhibition.
Vadra comes from a well-known political family. He is the son of Priyanka Gandhi and Robert Vadra, and the grandson of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. He was born on August 29, 2000. He has a younger sister, Miraya Vadra.
He completed his early schooling in Delhi and later studied at The Doon School in Dehradun. After school he enrolled at SOAS University of London, where he studied politics.
Vadra is a photographer and visual artist, with an interest in wildlife and street photography and in art. He held his first solo art exhibition in 2021. He had taken a break from photography before college, but returned to it about a year later.
For now, the matter rests between Vadra's post and the administration's explanation.
