Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has announced a new digital platform named 'Satyagraha'. It aims to bring movements under way across the country onto a common platform. People in different parts of the country fighting for their rights and for justice are said to be able to share details of their movements through it.

They will also be able to see movements on similar issues in other areas and seek support when needed. The initiative is meant to bring together movements of farmers, students, women, Adivasis, Dalits and Gen-Z.

Gandhi announced the initiative on Saturday on the social media platform X. He said many people across the country were fighting for their rights but often had to struggle alone. He said students, farmers, Adivasis, Dalits, women and Generation Z were struggling. Every struggle had its own story, he said, but voices raised alone were often suppressed.

In his post, he wrote, "But a voice that rises alone often gets drowned out. 'Satyagraha' is an initiative to bring these very voices together on one map."

Invoking the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi said Bapu had shown the path of satyagraha. According to him, truth is the greatest weapon, but standing united with the truth is an even greater strength. He appealed to people fighting injustice to tell their stories.

'Satyagraha' is a website that aims to collect in one place information on the various movements and people's movements under way across the country. Anyone can enter details of their movement, organisation and struggle on the platform.

To submit details of a movement, people must give their name, the name of their group or organisation, and the issue of the movement. Gandhi said the process could be completed in about two minutes.

The website also has an interactive map on which people can see movements under way in different parts of the country. People fighting on a particular issue will be able to learn of similar movements in other states or areas. Under the initiative, activists can put forward their problems and demands and also seek direct help or support.
