Mostly dry weather likely in Maharashtra on Wednesday, light rain in Pune and Marathwada

The weather in Maharashtra on Wednesday, November 4, is likely to be mixed. Rain activity has weakened, so most parts of the state are expected to stay dry. Light rain is likely in some areas.

Light rain and thunder and lightning are likely in parts of Pune and Marathwada. In Pune city the sky will be clear in the morning, but clouds may gather in the evening and at night. Mumbai will see sunshine and light haze on Wednesday. The maximum temperature is forecast at 34 degrees and the minimum at 27 degrees, meaning heat and humidity will trouble people. Dry weather is also likely in Thane, Palghar and Navi Mumbai.

In Vidarbha, the weather will be dry in Nagpur, Wardha, Amravati, Akola and Bhandara. Light rain is possible in places in Gondia, Gadchiroli and Yavatmal. Light showers are also likely in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Parbhani, Hingoli, Nanded and Latur in Marathwada. Weather in North Maharashtra may remain largely dry.

In areas where rain is likely, farmers should move harvested crops and grain to a safe place. During thunder and lightning, people should avoid standing in open fields and under trees. In Nagpur, sensitive people should watch the air quality and take care with outdoor work.
