Marathi television actress Ashwini Mahangade, who became a household name through the serials 'Aai Kuthe Kay Karte' and 'Swarajyarakshak Sambhaji', has married. She had kept the wedding a secret, and fans were delighted when the news came out.

Mahangade married well-known Marathi actor Bhushan Shivtare. The couple wed at noon on October 24 at a resort in Panchgani, in a grand ceremony. People learnt of the marriage only when the photographs surfaced.

Mahangade had been preparing for the wedding for several days but had told no one, and had not posted anything about it on social media. The wedding photographs therefore came as a pleasant surprise to fans. She looked striking in a nine-yard saree, while Shivtare looked fitting in traditional attire.

Close friends, relatives and a few members of the film and television fraternity attended the wedding in Panchgani. The ceremony was simple but elegant.

Many may wonder who Bhushan Shivtare is. He is not only an actor but also an accomplished wrestler who has made a name in the sport. He has won medals at the state level in Greco-Roman wrestling. After his wrestling career, he made his mark in acting too.

His role as Yesaji Kank in Digpal Lanjekar's film 'Subhedar' was well remembered and widely acclaimed. He has also acted in films such as 'Rangda' and 'Bandhini'. In the film 'Sant Dnyaneshwaranchi Muktai', he played Gahininath. Both husband and wife are thus artistes: Mahangade became popular through serials, Shivtare through films and wrestling.

Mahangade is not only an actress but is also active in social work. After the wedding, Marathi artistes and fans have showered her with good wishes, and everyone is congratulating her.

A special thing about the two is that although both are now well-known artistes, they remain connected to their villages. Both like to live simply and stay grounded, which is why people have taken to the pair.

Everyone is now wishing Mahangade and Shivtare well for their life ahead. Comments on social media wish the couple a happy married life. People are saying the Marathi industry has got a new and cute pair.
