The Maha Vikas Aghadi will hold a march in Chiplun on October 7 against the BJP government. The agitation is against the state government's "SIR" policy. The Aghadi has decided to take to the streets over it.

A key meeting of the Aghadi's senior leaders and office-bearers was held today at the office of Chiplun's UBT MLA Bhaskar Jadhav to prepare for the march. Jadhav will lead the agitation himself. He has made an open appeal to Gen-Z, today's generation of young people, to take to the streets in this fight.

The march will begin with garlands being offered to the statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar at Bahadur Sheikh. It will also start from the equestrian statues of Indira Gandhi and Shivaji Maharaj. Jadhav has asked young people of North Ratnagiri to join in large numbers. He has appealed to youth from Mandangad, Dapoli, Khed, Chiplun and Guhagar to gather in strength.

Jadhav said the Gen-Z youth who held a big agitation at Jantar Mantar in Delhi to save democracy should join this march in large numbers. Those who have faith in democracy and the Constitution should also come, he said. He told the young people, "We will not let the Constitution and democracy be murdered." Jadhav said clearly that the march will also demand the resignation of Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

Jadhav alleged that Supreme Court judges are retiring and those in power are taking political posts and Rajya Sabha or Lok Sabha seats. He alleged that Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar is working for the Bharatiya Janata Party and that his tenure has been mired in controversy.

Jadhav also spoke on the electoral rolls. He said Mamata Banerjee has let large numbers of Bangladeshis into West Bengal and that her electoral rolls also contain large numbers of Bangladeshis. According to him, the Bangladeshis in this country have to be sent out. Jadhav asked how many Bangladeshis the BJP has removed in its 12 years in power at the Centre. He said a debate against Bangladeshis has to be raised in every state and politics has to be played on it.

Jadhav also made a serious allegation that 2 crore 6 lakh voters were removed from the electoral rolls in the country in 2024.
