The Indian cricket team has made a strong start to its New Zealand tour. India lead the five-match T20 series between the two countries 2-0, having won both opening matches against New Zealand convincingly.
The second match between India and New Zealand was played on Saturday, October 24. India won it by four wickets. Tilak Varma was the hero of the win, scoring an unbeaten 51 and taking the team home.
Both teams are now ready for the third T20. The match will be played on Tuesday, October 27. The first two games of the series were held at Hagley Oval in Christchurch, but the third will be at Henry Stadium in Wellington. The two teams have around two days to prepare.
India will try to win this match and take the series. New Zealand must win to keep their hopes of taking the series alive. If they lose the third game as well, the series will slip out of their hands, so the New Zealand side will certainly try to stage a comeback.
The match will start at 12:30 pm Indian Standard Time. It can be watched on various channels of the Sony Sports Network. It will also be broadcast live on the DD Sports channel.
New Zealand have made changes to their squad after losing the first two T20s. Fast bowler Lockie Ferguson will not be in the team for the third match. Matt Henry has also been rested and will now play directly in the one-day series. The first ODI between India and New Zealand will be played on November 4.
Kyle Jamieson will be in the squad for the third match but has been left out of the fourth and fifth T20s. Blair Tickner has been included and will stay with the team for the next three matches. Josh Clarkson will join the squad for the fourth and fifth T20s.
