Fourteen-year-old Vivaan Dave won two gold medals at the Gujarat State Table Tennis Championship. At the event held in Gandhidham from October 16 to 20, he took the gold in both the Under-17 and Under-19 categories, beating older and more experienced players.

Vivaan is a player associated with Adani Sportsline's "Garv Hai" initiative. He was earlier ranked second in the country in the Under-15 category. He is continuing to improve his game on the back of consistent performances in tournaments in India and abroad.

Earlier this year, Vivaan won the Under-17 gold at the UTT National Ranking Table Tennis Championship in Kanpur. His record at the international level is also good. He won a silver medal in the Under-15 category at the WTT Youth Contender in Ulaanbaatar and a bronze in the same category at the tournament in Tashkent.

In 2025, Vivaan also won two golds at the 87th UTT Inter-State Sub-Junior and Cadet National Table Tennis Championship, taking the titles in both the individual and team events in the Under-15 category.

Vivaan began playing table tennis at the age of five. His dream is to represent India at the Olympics and win a gold medal for the country. Under the "Garv Hai" initiative, he receives table tennis gear, sports equipment and travel to tournaments. This support lets him focus on practice and performance. Vivaan has been part of the initiative since August 1, 2026.

Speaking about his success, Vivaan said, "Winning gold in both the Under-17 and Under-19 categories at the state-level competition is a proud moment for me. I was playing against older and more experienced players. So every match was a test for me, and I learned a lot from it."

He added, "I started playing table tennis at the age of five. Playing for India at the Olympics and winning a gold medal for the country has always been my dream. Adani Sportsline helped me with the kit, equipment and travel. That is why I am able to focus fully on practice and performance."

Vivaan will next take part in the WTT Youth Contender in Chennai from October 23 to 26. After that, he will have his eye on the national ranking table tennis tournament in Punjab later in the year.
