Gandhi and Shastri birth anniversaries observed at Wardha regional transport office
Officials and staff of the Wardha regional transport office paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri on their 157th and 122nd birth anniversaries.
The birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri were observed at the regional transport office in Wardha on 2 October 2026. The date marked 157 years since Gandhi's birth and 122 years since Shastri's. Their birth anniversaries are celebrated across the country, and the Wardha office marked the occasion too.
Sneha Mendhe, Deputy Regional Transport Officer at the office, paid tribute by garlanding portraits of Gandhi and Shastri. She was followed by Assistant Deputy Regional Transport Officers Saurabh Satav and Sandip Mukhe, who also garlanded the portraits. The office's motor vehicle inspectors likewise paid floral tributes to both leaders.
Amol Raghtate, junior clerks Ritesh Dandekar and Sandip Ghode, senior clerk Ingole Babu and the other officers and staff of the office were present.
