Gadkari attacks Congress over repeated poll defeats at BJP rally in Nagpur
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari accused Congress of trying to spread anarchy and of targeting constitutional institutions, including the Election Commission, after repeated election losses.
Nagpur: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari launched a sharp attack on Congress on the occasion of the BJP's 'Save the Constitution, Remove Anarchy' rally. He alleged that Congress is trying to spread anarchy in the country.
Gadkari said statements by Congress leaders have sunk to an unseemly level. He also said the kind of unrestrained remarks being made about the father of Prime Minister Narendra Modi are most unfortunate.
Gadkari said Congress leaders have become unhinged because of continuous election defeats. He alleged that out of this agitation they are targeting constitutional institutions and trying to tarnish the image of the Election Commission.
Saying that both defeat and victory must be accepted in a democracy, Gadkari said it is not right to malign constitutional institutions in the name of political opposition.
