A controversy has flared again over the alleged misconduct of Maharashtra Security Force (MSF) personnel at the well-known Shri Tuljabhavani temple in Dharashiv district. Videos that have gone viral on social media show security guards pushing devotees inside the temple's sanctum. Devotees have expressed intense anger towards the Maharashtra Security Force guards.

A video has surfaced showing devotees who had come for darshan on Kojagiri Purnima being pushed by the security force. The video shows the devotees being shoved even before they could have darshan. Devotees are demanding strict action against the guards.

Devotees are upset at being treated this way after standing in queues for hours. They want stern action against the guards. The viral video of the pushing on Kojagiri Purnima and of the guards' conduct has caused a major stir. The incident has drawn sharp anger from devotees against the temple administration and the security arrangements.

The temple has come into the news once again. A dispute between police and security guards had also been seen earlier. A major clash had broken out between the temple trust's security guards and police personnel after the guards refused to allow restricted entry through the Pitali (brass) door of the Tuljabhavani temple. The police allegedly beat a guard, and his head was split. A video of that incident had also gone viral.

Now, on one hand, the temple's guards appear to be behaving rudely with devotees, while on the other, an internal dispute between the police and the guards has come to light. Two separate disputes are thus under discussion: one between devotees and guards, and the other between police and guards. With videos of both cases out, questions are being raised over the temple administration's claims on security and crowd management. The administration may therefore find itself in serious difficulty.

Devotees and local organisations have demanded immediate and strict disciplinary action against such rude staff. The claims the temple administration has made about security and crowd management are now themselves being doubted.
