A cleanliness drive was held in the Mani Bhavan area of Mumbai on Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary. On the occasion, Cabinet Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha spoke on the country's social and political situation. He said that along with cleanliness, it was also necessary to confront tendencies that create anarchy in society.

During the drive, Lodha also spoke on the country's democratic and social order. He said tendencies that create anarchy in society and the country were fatal for the nation, and that public awareness should be raised against them as well. He also made it clear that cleanliness was not a one-day campaign but the responsibility of every citizen.

Lodha made allegations about the agitation by his opponents. Referring to the agitation to be held at Shivaji Park, he asked where these workers were when an agitation was held over the paper leak case in Jharkhand. Lodha alleged that the agitation was being carried out by giving greater weight to a political motive than to students' concerns. He also claimed that attempts to create anarchy in the country were getting help from outside. These are Lodha's allegations and claims.

During the visit, Lodha saw Mahatma Gandhi's room, the charkha, the telephone and other historical items at Mani Bhavan. The road in front of Mani Bhavan was then cleaned. Those present together sang the bhajan "Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram". Municipal corporation officials, sanitation workers and Mani Bhavan staff also took part in the drive.
