The September 2026 Foundation examination was held at 580 centres across the country, with students from different parts of India taking part. ICAI said a total of 1,17,458 students appeared in the examination. The gender-wise result analysis, however, covers 1,04,240 candidates.

Five students share the top three all-India ranks in the merit list, with two-way ties for both the first and second positions.

Kansika of Hisar and Mahek Gupta of Hyderabad shared the first all-India rank with 361 marks out of 400, or 90.25 per cent.

Sparsh Khandelwal of Ajmer and J. Jayant of Chennai scored 359 marks each, or 89.75 per cent, and shared the second rank. Vaibhavi Singhal of Gwalior took the third rank with 358 marks, or 89.50 per cent.

Congratulating the successful students, ICAI president CA Prasanna Kumar D. said the success was the fruit of the students' hard work and perseverance, and of the valuable guidance given by parents and teachers.

He stressed that education must ultimately serve society and the country's development. Future chartered accountants would carry the important responsibility of maintaining public trust, upholding transparency and contributing to India's economic progress, he said. He urged the students to hold on to these professional values as they advance in their careers and to make a substantial contribution to nation-building.

The results and marks details are available online on the official ICAI results portal, caresults.icai.org. Students can view their results by entering their registration number and roll number.
