Bombay Dyeing has launched its "Celebrating India Collection". The brand, which has a legacy of more than 145 years, is counted among India's trusted home textile brands. Through six designs in the collection, the company is bringing the country's rich art traditions to homes today.

The collection draws on traditional embroidery, folk art, fabric printing and weaving techniques. It reflects the diversity of Indian handicrafts and gives present-day bedding a fresh look. Inspired by the skill, art and cultural heritage of Indian artisans, it includes Chamba Rumal, Warli print, Chikankari, wax batik, carpet weaving and Karad weaving craft. The motifs, patterns and colours of each design reflect a different art tradition.

The Chamba Rumal design is inspired by traditional Chamba Rumal embroidery. It has delicate floral motifs, an attractive border and symbolic animal figures. Vivid colours such as blue, red, green and yellow set it apart. It is an attempt to bring the richness of traditional Indian art into the bedroom of today.

The Warli print is inspired by traditional Warli folk art. It has geometric shapes, motifs from nature and designs reminiscent of the Tarpa dance. A colour scheme close to earth tones and simple but eye-catching patterns give tribal art a modern form. It brings a touch of traditional culture and familiarity to home decor.

The Chikankari design is inspired by the delicate art of Chikankari embroidery. It has fine floral motifs and light patterns. Soft shades such as light pink, sky blue, mint green and lavender make it appealing. The gentle colours and embroidery-like detailing give today's bedroom a simple yet attractive look.

Wax batik draws on the traditional batik printing technique of applying wax to fabric. It features different leaf shapes, geometric patterns and many tones of colour. Light shades of mint, peach, lavender and blue give it freshness and a modern look, while a glimpse of traditional handicraft remains.

Carpet weaving is inspired by the designs of traditional carpets. It has fine Persian-style detailing, a Turkish gul pattern and attractive decorative motifs. Warm shades such as deep maroon, indigo and earth tones give it a distinct identity. The Karad weaving craft, meanwhile, is inspired by traditional weaving methods, with a geometric border, patterns resembling the texture of woven cloth and weaving-related motifs. A mix of deep maroon, terracotta, brown and beige brings traditional art and modern design together, adding warmth and a distinct style to bedroom decor.

The collection is 100% cotton, with a thread count (TC) of 300 and digital prints. It combines softness, comfort and attractive design. From vivid colours inspired by folk art to delicate embroidery-like detailing, the six designs offer many ways to bring Indian art traditions into home decor. Through "Celebrating India", Bombay Dyeing is combining designs inspired by traditional art with modern home textiles. The designs reflect India's diverse cultural heritage, blend easily with today's home decor and give customers a chance to give their bedrooms a new look.
