MBBS doctors in Mumbai have a job opportunity. Vacancies for the post of "residential officer" are to be filled at Shri Harilal Bhagwati Municipal General Hospital in Borivali (West), run by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). A direct interview has been scheduled, and three vacant posts will be filled.

Candidates who wish to apply must hold an MBBS degree from a recognised institution. They must also have permanent registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council. Candidates should know the Marathi language. Those with experience will be given preference.

The pay details have been stated clearly. Selected candidates will receive a basic pay of Rs 6,600. On top of this, Rs 3,300 as DP, dearness allowance as per rules, and Rs 27,000 as SAC will be added. A consolidated salary will thus be paid every month.

Candidates coming for the interview must bring their application form with a passport-size photograph affixed. Along with the form, they must bring self-attested copies of their biodata, educational qualifications, experience certificates and other required documents.

Registration and the interview will be held at the office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), first floor, Room No. 26, Shri Harilal Bhagwati Municipal General Hospital, Borivali (West), Mumbai 400103. Registration will take place on November 2, 2026, between 10:00 am and 10:30 am. The interview will be held the same day from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. Candidates who arrive after the registration time will not be allowed to sit for the interview.

The terms of appointment should also be understood. The appointment will run from the date of appointment until January 31, 2027. These are not regular posts of the municipal corporation, so selected candidates will not be treated as regular employees of the corporation.

At the time of appointment, the candidate must deposit a security amount of Rs 10,000 by demand draft or challan. The amount will be returned after the entire service period ends. Further information and conditions can be obtained from the hospital and in the official advertisement.
