BJP's Seva Sankalp Yatra reaches Mozari, welcomed at Gurukunj Ashram
The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha's Seva Sankalp Yatra, travelling from Vadnagar to Varanasi, was welcomed at Gurukunj Ashram in Mozari, Amravati district.
The Seva Sankalp Yatra, taken out by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), reached Mozari village in Amravati district on Saturday. The yatra is being taken out between Vadnagar and Varanasi, with the stated aim of carrying Prime Minister Narendra Modi's message of service and rural development to villages.
The yatra received a grand welcome at the sacred Gurukunj Ashram of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj in Mozari. BJP's Maharashtra state president Ravindra Chavan was present on the occasion. Chavan visited the samadhi and gadi of Tukdoji Maharaj and welcomed all the office-bearers and workers who were part of the yatra.
A special programme was held at Gurukunj Ashram to mark the arrival of the yatra. It began with tree planting, followed by the felicitation of sanitation workers for their contribution to social service. School students were also given school supplies such as books and notebooks. Through these activities, an attempt was made to demonstrate the message of service, social welfare and rural development through direct action.
Speaking on the occasion, Ravindra Chavan said that Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj had, through his writings and work, put forward before society the idea of village development through public participation, and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is carrying forward the same idea today. Chavan also said that everyone should keep working, adopting the mantra of "seva paramo dharmah" (service is the highest duty), to take the government's welfare schemes to the last person in society.
Several senior BJP leaders, public representatives and workers were present in large numbers at the special programme. These included state general secretary and MLA Dr Sanjay Kute, MP Dr Anil Bonde, BJYM president Krishnaraj Mahadik, BJP Amravati Rural Morshi district president MLA Pratap Adsad, MLA Rajesh Wankhade, MLA Chandu Yawalkar, BJP Amravati Rural Melghat district president Prabhudas Bhilawekar, Amravati Mahanagar district president Dr Nitin Dhande, BJYM Amravati Rural Morshi district president Sachin Ingle, Nitin Gudhade, Aarti Wankhade, Jayant Dehankar, Kiran Paturkar, Badal Kulkarni, Chetan Gawande, Dr Sangeeta Shinde and Chandrashekhar Bhoyar.
