The BJP's troubles in the Nagpur graduates' constituency appear to be mounting. The party has fielded Sudhakar Kohale from the seat, but former party MLA Anil Sole has filed his nomination as an independent candidate, which has deepened concern in the party leadership.

BJP state president Ravindra Chavan went to Sole's home in Nagpur on Tuesday to placate him. Despite Chavan's visit, Sole was not at home. His mobile phone is also reported to be switched off.

MLA Krishna Khopde and Potdar were also present at Sole's house when Chavan arrived. It is reported that the Sole family openly expressed its displeasure and put its case before the party leadership.

The BJP leadership is trying to persuade Sole to withdraw from the contest against the party's official candidate. But the way Sole has filed an independent nomination suggests the matter is no longer limited to resentment.

Amid attempts to reach Sole, his phone is reported to be switched off. The biggest question before the BJP now is how the leadership will win him over.

The discontent that began over the ticket in the Nagpur graduates' constituency has now reached the stage of an independent nomination. Sole's next move is therefore seen as highly important for the BJP.
