Ayushmann Khurrana and Guneet Monga Kapoor reunite for patriotic action-comedy Udta Teer

Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana and Oscar-winning producer Guneet Monga Kapoor have come together once again for a new project. The pair will be seen together in the upcoming film "Udta Teer".

Ayushmann said the two have watched each other's journey since the start of their careers and share a similar outlook. He said a shared interest in offbeat stories and a common desire to start conversations on important issues through cinema lie behind their working together.

Speaking about working with Guneet, Ayushmann said both of them lean towards stories that break conventional frameworks. Through her productions, Guneet has backed different kinds of stories and played an important role in taking Indian stories to audiences across the world.

In Ayushmann's words, "When it comes to content, Guneet and I share the same core thinking. I have always been drawn to cinema that goes beyond conventional frameworks and has a distinct identity. Guneet, too, has backed different kinds of stories in her own way. She has taken Indian stories across the world and represented India at the Oscars. "Udta Teer" is an action-comedy built around patriotism. It attempts to break the limits of conventional genres and offer audiences a different kind of entertainment. A story that combines patriotism, action and humour will be the film's highlight.

Speaking about the film, Ayushmann said, "With Udta Teer, we are bringing to audiences an entertaining film that combines patriotism, action and comedy and breaks the confines of conventional genres. It also reflects our shared thinking."

Their association is not limited to this film. Their acquaintance goes back to the start of Ayushmann's career. The actor recalled that it was Guneet who took his first audition.

Speaking of this long association, Ayushmann said, "Guneet took my first audition, so we have known each other for a very long time. We have been in touch since then and have watched each other's journey. Now, finally, we have got the chance to work together."

Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan will play the lead roles in "Udta Teer". The film is directed by Aakash Kaushik. Offering action and comedy against a patriotic backdrop, it will release in cinemas on October 23.
