Chandrakant Shinde, a farmer from Malkautha village in Nanded district, was first kidnapped and then murdered. The incident has caused alarm across Nanded district. Police have so far arrested three people in the case.

Vazirabad police have arrested Jaykumar alias Shera Gaikwad, Aamer Shaikh and Imran Khan. The three were produced in court, which sent them to police custody till the 29th. Police will be able to question them until then.

The main accused in the case is still out of police reach. Different police teams have been sent out to trace the accused. Two teams of Vazirabad police station and teams of the Local Crime Branch are involved in the investigation. Police have intensified the search. Police Inspector Ajit Kumbhar said the main accused would be caught soon.

There is another twist in the case. Mudkhed police have registered a separate case of kidnapping and assault against four people on a complaint by Datta Gaikwad. It is therefore believed that the scope of events linked to this case could widen. The investigation into this separate case has also become important.

Meanwhile, the name "K.F. Enterprises" has also begun to figure in discussion around the case. Police are reportedly examining whether the organisation whose name has come up in the case is one and the same. What connection the organisation actually has with the case will become clear only after the investigation.

The whole district is now watching three things: the arrest of the main accused in the kidnapping and murder of Chandrakant Shinde; the probe into the separate case registered in Mudkhed; and the inquiry into the organisation's links. Police say the search continues and the picture will become clear as the investigation advances.
