Satara student found dead in hostel, was grieving friend killed in car crash

A young woman died by suicide in Satara, unable to bear the shock of watching her friend die in a terrible accident. The incident took place at the hostel of Yashoda Technical Campus in Satara. The death has caused deep grief across the educational community and the surrounding area.

According to the information available, the woman has been identified as Pooja Mane. She was a resident of Manewadi village in Khatav taluka of Satara district. She was living away from home in Satara to study and build her future. But a tragic incident a few days ago upended her life.

A few days ago, Pooja and a close friend had gone to Kolhapur for darshan at the famous Shri Mahalaxmi temple. On the way back, their Scorpio vehicle met with a severe accident. In the crash, her close friend died on the spot, in front of her eyes. The frightening experience left a deep mark on Pooja.

Pooja could not bear the pain of watching the friend with whom she had always spent happy days suffer and die before her eyes. The horrifying scenes of the accident kept coming back to her.

After her friend's sudden and untimely death, she slipped into deep depression. She did not talk much to anyone and remained lost in thought all the time. She had been left mentally shattered. In this state of severe mental anguish, she hanged herself in her room at the hostel of Yashoda Technical Campus in Satara.

Gloom has descended on Manewadi village and among students in Satara after a promising young woman took such an extreme step. Police have registered a case of accidental death and are investigating other aspects behind the tragedy.
