Rayudu to Hardik Pandya: Give up Mumbai Indians captaincy if you stay

Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya is in the spotlight once again. Ambati Rayudu, the former India batter who has played for Mumbai Indians in the IPL, has given Hardik some key advice. Rayudu's view is that if Hardik decides to stay with Mumbai Indians, he should give up the captaincy and concentrate on his game.

Speaking at a cricket event, Rayudu spoke about Hardik's present situation. He said he feels Hardik has got stuck after coming to Mumbai. According to Rayudu, when a person starts to feel stuck in a place, he keeps looking back. If such an atmosphere builds up in the dressing room, things that should not be said can be said to players. He said several things had not been handled properly in Hardik's case. It could be Hardik's fault, or there could be other reasons as well.

Rayudu believes that if Hardik stays on at Mumbai Indians, the team management should think about changing the captain. Hardik should be allowed to play fully in the role of an all-rounder who can turn the result of a match.

Rayudu went on to say that if he stays at Mumbai Indians, Hardik should not be captain. He should just play his game, enjoy his cricket and become a match-winner for Mumbai. Even if he leaves the team, he should not think about captaincy straight away. He should not take on the burden of leadership for at least one season.

Rayudu also said that if Hardik leaves Mumbai Indians, he could find a good environment at Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings. Kolkata Knight Riders may also have several opportunities for him. Rayudu hinted that Kolkata need a new captain, so Hardik's name could be considered.

Meanwhile, talk of Hardik Pandya leaving Mumbai Indians before IPL 2027 is growing. His possible trade is being widely discussed in cricket circles, and fans are watching for the next decision between Mumbai Indians and Hardik.
