India's Karan Singh continued his dominance on the ITF circuit, winning the singles title in Mumbai on Sunday. The tournament was organised by the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association at Cooperage, with prize money of $30,000. It is described as the ITF Men's World Tennis Tour M35.

Third seed Karan beat Digvijay Pratap Singh, a fellow player from his own academy, in the final. Karan led 7-5, 3-1 in the second set when Digvijay retired from the match with an injury.

It is Karan's fourth title of the 2026 season. The 23-year-old has been in good form for the past few months. The Mumbai win is his second in the last two months, and the fourth time in that period that he has reached a final.

The match, played on an outdoor hard court, saw a closely fought first set. It lasted more than an hour, and Karan eventually took it 7-5. Carrying that momentum, he went 3-1 up in the second set. After 1 hour 32 minutes of play, Digvijay retired with an injury and Karan was handed the championship trophy.

Karan did not drop a single set through the tournament. He began in the round of 32 by beating Nitin Kumar Sinha 6-4, 6-4. In the round of 16 his serve was outstanding as he beat Adil Kalyanpur 7-5, 6-3 in 1 hour 38 minutes.

In the quarter-finals, seventh seed Siddharth Rawat had withdrawn with an injury. In the semi-finals, Karan then put in a commanding performance against Chirag Duhan, holding serve 100 per cent of the time. He beat Duhan 6-3, 6-2 and secured his place in the final in just 1 hour 19 minutes.

In the other half of the draw, it was also a good week in Mumbai for Digvijay. Earlier this month he won the ITF M15 title in Baku. In the Mumbai semi-finals he beat second seed Garrett Johns 6-4, 6-2. That secured a one-two finish on the podium for the Roundglass Tennis Academy.
