A shocking incident has been reported from Aundha Nagnath taluka in Hingoli district. In Vadad village, a man killed his own uncle and aunt by attacking them with a sharp weapon during a dispute over farming and water from a shared well. The incident has caused alarm across Aundha Nagnath taluka, and residents are in shock.

According to the information available, the Chopde family of Vadad had been locked in a bitter dispute for several days over how to share water from the farm's common well and over who should hold ownership of the farm. The matter was thus not only about water but also about rights over the land. On Sunday morning, the two sides argued again over the same dispute, and within a short time it turned into a physical fight.

As the quarrel escalated, the accused nephew, Devendra Chopde, in a rage brought a sharp knife from the house and attacked his uncle Tryambak Chopde and aunt Mangalabai Chopde with intent to kill. Both fell, badly wounded and covered in blood, and died on the spot.

On receiving news of the incident, a team from Aundha Nagnath police station and senior police officers reached the spot immediately. Police drew up a panchnama at the scene and sent both bodies to the rural hospital for post-mortem.

Aundha Nagnath police acted swiftly and have detained the suspected accused, Devendra Chopde. The process of registering a murder case against him has begun. After the double murder, fear and mourning have gripped Vadad village and the surrounding area.
