The second match of the three-match ODI series between the Indian women's team and the Zimbabwe women's team is being played at the Vadodara International Stadium. Indian captain Smriti Mandhana won the toss and chose to bat first.
Powered by aggressive innings from Harmanpreet and Deepti Sharma, India scored 328 for six in 50 overs. Zimbabwe therefore need 329 runs to win.
Harmanpreet struck a superb century, scoring 126 off 121 balls. Deepti Sharma also hit a century, making 106 off 86 balls.
At the toss, captain Smriti Mandhana said Kranti Goud had been rested for this match. Vaishnavi Sharma got a place in the playing XI in her stead. Zimbabwe have also made a change. Captain Josephine Nkomo said Sharne Mayers had been rested for this match.
This is Smriti Mandhana's first ODI series since becoming India's full-time captain. If India win this match and take the series, it will be a notable achievement for her.
India had earlier won the three-match T20 series 3-0. In the last match of that series, Pratika Rawal scored a century and Shafali Verma a half-century. In the first ODI, India beat Zimbabwe by nine wickets. With that win, India lead the three-match series 1-0 and now have the chance to clinch it by winning this match.
