Ajit Wadekar Academy win two straight in Poona Western Club Trophy under-13 T20 tournament

The Ajit Wadekar Cricket Academy team won two consecutive matches in the 'Poona Western Club Trophy' inter-club under-13 boys' T20 cricket tournament under way in Pune. The tournament is being held under the joint auspices of the DJSG Cricket Academy and Sports Venture. The matches are being played at the ground of The Poona Western Club (PWC) in Bhugaon.

In the first match, Ajit Wadekar Academy beat Lineup Cricket Academy by 83 runs. Batting first, Ajit Wadekar Academy posted 181 for nine in 20 overs. Kaivalya Shinde (Pune) was the star of the innings with 53 runs. Swaraj Gogawale contributed 32 and Swara Gade 23. For Lineup, Bhagesh Sathe took five wickets for 26 runs. Pragya Yalore took two for 28.

In reply, the entire Lineup Cricket Academy team was bowled out for 98 in 20 overs. Bhagesh Sathe scored 29 and Avanish Kulkarni 15. For Ajit Wadekar Academy, Arya Vyas took three wickets for 26 runs. Shlok Surve took two for 11 and Shreeja Gogawale two for 18. Kaivalya Shinde was named Man of the Match.

In the second match, Ajit Wadekar Academy defeated DJCA Cricket Academy by 47 runs. Batting first, Ajit Wadekar Academy were all out for 145 in 17.3 overs. Swara Gade made 40, Abir Chor 35 and Arya Vyas 24 to steady the innings. DJCA's Ayush Satpute took five wickets for 34 runs, sending half the side back to the pavilion.

In reply, DJCA Cricket Academy were bowled out for 98 in 19.4 overs. Yuvi Nibude fought a lone battle with 38, while Kavya Mohol scored 12. For Ajit Wadekar Academy, Suranjan Chaudhari took three wickets for 14 runs and Pankaj Shinde two for 11. Swara Gade was Man of the Match in this game. Both matches were group league round fixtures.
