Yuva Sena state coordinator Aniket Jawalkar hit back at BJP spokesperson Navnath Ban, who had blamed Shinde's Shiv Sena for the BJP candidate's defeat in Pune.

Pune: A political row has broken out between the BJP and Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena after the results of the state's graduates' and teachers' constituency elections. BJP spokesperson Navnath Ban had alleged that Shinde's Shiv Sena did not support the party in Pune, and that this was why the BJP candidate lost. Leaders of Shinde's Shiv Sena have turned aggressive after the allegation. Yuva Sena state coordinator Aniket Jawalkar has sharply targeted Ban.

Jawalkar alleged that "Banpav and his boss" are trying to tarnish the image of the Shiv Sena and Eknath Shinde. He said the BJP should rein in Banpav, because he is going around freely every day. Jawalkar warned that if Ban kept speaking against the Shiv Sena, he would be given a tit-for-tat reply.

Jawalkar said Eknath Shinde's leadership is growing, which is causing some people discomfort. According to him, if a Marathi leader is rising or moving towards becoming chief minister again, some people play politics over how to stop him and how to suppress his leadership. He also alleged that, whether it is the Purnekar case or the issue linked to Jarange Patil, these events are being used to try to tarnish Shinde's image.

Continuing, Jawalkar told Ban to build leadership through his own work. He said Ban should not try to rise by tarnishing someone else's image or ending their leadership. He said such politics would no longer be tolerated. According to Jawalkar, they too are ready to give a tit-for-tat reply in the time ahead.

Jawalkar expressed firm confidence that Eknath Shinde would become chief minister again. He said devotees of Shivaji, workers of Hindutva ideology, Shiv Sainiks, Yuva Sainiks and women's wing workers stand firmly with him. Jawalkar said they are ready to work with Shinde day and night, even at midnight. He made clear that they do not do politics to suppress anyone's leadership or finish anyone, but are people who stand behind merit. In this way Aniket Jawalkar responded to the allegations by BJP spokesperson Navnath Ban.
