Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani met NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar, who is being treated for a chest and respiratory infection, at Breach Candy Hospital on Friday.
Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani visited Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai on Friday, November 6, to meet NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar. Pawar has been admitted to the hospital with a respiratory and chest infection and is being treated there.
NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule, Pawar's daughter, also came to the hospital on Friday to see her ailing father.
This is the second time in a few days that Pawar's health has brought attention to a hospital. On November 2, he was admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune after complaining of cough and pleuritic chest pain. He is now at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.
Speaking about her father's health, Sule had said earlier that Pawar's medical tests were under way and that all his health parameters were stable.
NCP leader Praful Patel also visited Breach Candy Hospital on Thursday. He met Pawar and enquired after his health. After leaving the hospital, Patel said, "I had gone to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. I paid a courtesy call on respected Shri Sharad Pawar Saheb and asked after his health."
Dr Pratit Samdani of Breach Candy Hospital said NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar's condition is stable. According to Dr Samdani, Pawar was admitted on Wednesday night and his treatment is continuing.
As a precaution, Pawar will be kept under observation. His condition remained stable and his discomfort eased, after which doctors found him fit for discharge.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also spoke to Pawar by phone on Wednesday and enquired about his health. Vitthal Maniyar, a family friend and close associate of Pawar, confirmed the call to reporters outside the hospital. He said the Prime Minister told Pawar warmly to put his health first and take complete rest.
According to Maniyar, the Prime Minister told the senior leader, "Supriya and we will look after the country. Take care of your health and rest. May your blessings stay with us."
Pawar thanked the Prime Minister for calling and assured him that he was resting. He said, "With all of you there, I have no worry about the country."
