Maratha activist Mahesh Dongre threatens to thrash Gunaratna Sadavarte, calls him "mental"

Gunaratna Sadavarte has been criticising Maratha community leader Manoj Jarange Patil continuously for the past few days. He had also targeted Jarange when the latter came to Mumbai. In the Pradip Purnekar case, Sadavarte directly criticised Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. During this, a remark was also mentioned: "The Purnekar family wants me to fight their case."

As Sadavarte continues to attack Jarange, Maratha activist Mahesh Dongre has issued him a warning. Dongre said bluntly that in the coming days Sadavarte will be thrashed, however much police protection he is given. Dongre also said Sadavarte has gone mental and that a bed has been booked for him at the mental hospital in Miraj.

Dongre went on to say that all of Maharashtra knows whose contract Sadavarte has taken to speak against Eknath Shinde. He called Sadavarte a "supari bahadur" and mental, and said he keeps a donkey at home. Addressing Sadavarte, Dongre asked how far the Jersey cow at his home had wandered outside the Varsha bungalow, saying "Save Shinde saheb", when he was put in jail during the Maha Vikas Aghadi's time. With these words he criticised Sadavarte directly.

Dongre claimed that when people from the ST corporation were hitting Sadavarte with slippers, he had clasped Shinde's feet. He also said Sadavarte took bribes in the ST employees' bank, and that his bile rose when the bank was won under Eknath Shinde's leadership. Dongre said plainly: "Sadavarte, know your place, you will certainly be thrashed in the coming days."

Finally, Dongre also appealed to the Chief Minister, saying: "Chief Minister saheb, rein in Sadavarte." He alleged that Sadavarte speaks against ministers in the government and creates rifts between castes. Dongre also said Sadavarte is of pig's lineage and pokes his mouth in everywhere like a pig. He told Sadavarte once again that however much police protection he moves around with, he will be beaten.
